There is an awesome feeling when you do accomplish something that the majority of people believe that you can not do. Such was the feeling at Black on Purpose Television Network when in late 2015, we began airing on ROKU. Of course, close behind the ‘Doubters’ came the 'Haters’. Those who say that having a television network dedicated to promoting positive and true images of Black people is inherently divisive. It always amazes me when this is suggested. No one suggests that the existence of tanning salons is inherently divisive even though no Black person would need to use one…ever. Believe it or not, watching BOP TV will not change your skin color, but it may open your eyes.
